Onigiri Senbei is a soft rice cracker in the shape of triangular rice ball. It was first sold by Masuya, a company headquartered in Ise, Mie Prefecture, in 1969. Since then, the senbei has reigned as a popular snack, especially in western Japan. The rice crackers are made from fluffy and crispy rice dough seasoned with a soy sauce that brings out the flavor of dashi stock, and topped with a sprinkling of roasted seaweed. Once you start eating it, you can’t stop.
