Orion Mini Peach Bottle Ramune Candy

Mini Peach is the fruit-flavored version of Orion’s miniature pull-tab bottle lineup — the same format as Mini Cola and Mini Vita C, but redirected toward the sweetness and fragrance of white peach rather than a carbonated beverage reference.

It has been in production since March 1984, making it one of the older members of the Mini Series and one that has quietly outlasted trends in dagashi culture by never changing what works.

The bottle is the same miniature pull-tab can design as across the lineup: small enough to fit in a child’s palm, with a working pull-tab lid that opens the same way as the real thing and can be re-closed to keep the remaining tablets inside.

The opening ritual is part of the experience — and in the case of the peach version, what greets you when the lid comes off is the sweet, floral fragrance of concentrated peach juice, which is actually present in the formulation rather than approximated by flavoring alone.

The tablets are harder and denser than the soft dissolving ramune format that other brands use — designed for chewing rather than dissolving, breaking down into a fine powder under the teeth and releasing the peach flavor as they go.

The fruit color gives each piece a pale peachy tint.

The taste is sweet and immediately fruity, with the natural acidity of peach from the concentrated juice adding a faint tartness that keeps the sweetness from being flat.

The packaging received a design refresh in February 2025 — the latest update to a bottle that has been recognizable in Japanese dagashi shops since the year Japan hosted the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
