Tirol Choco Best Tirol Assortment Chocolate

Best Tirol Assortment puts the three Tirol flavours that matter most into one bag.

Coffee Nougat is the original — the flavour the single-piece Tirol Choco launched with, a faintly bitter coffee nougat set against sweet chocolate, and still the one on the packaging that carries the brand’s logo.

Milk is the broadest, a smooth milk cream inside a milky chocolate, sold in a cow-print wrapper with the word in red.

Kinako Mochi is the seasonal one that outsells expectations every year.

Kinako Mochi is also the most distinctly Japanese of the three.

Kinako is roasted soybean flour, nutty and faintly sweet, dusted over mochi as one of the oldest sweets in the Japanese repertoire — and Tirol puts a mochi gummy inside a kinako chocolate, so there is a genuine chew at the centre rather than just a flavour.

The packaging carries Mochi-kun, the character Tirol uses for it.

Tirol Choco has been made in Fukuoka since 1962, and the single-piece format — one square, one flavour, sold at a price children could manage — is what made it a fixture of Japanese shops.

This assortment carries two Milk, two Coffee Nougat and one Kinako Mochi, released through Daiso stores nationwide from 26 October 2026.
