Ginbis Ginza Rusk Miwaku no White Chocolate Snack

Ginza Rusk does not coat the chocolate on the outside.

Ginbis uses ganshin — an impregnation method that draws white chocolate into the body of the rusk itself rather than enrobing it — which means the chocolate is inside the structure and your fingers stay clean.

For a chocolate snack eaten at a desk or on a train, that is the whole proposition.

The base is built to carry dairy.

Wholemeal wheat flour goes into the dough for a toasted, slightly nutty depth that keeps the sweetness from lingering, and the milk is Hokkaido whole milk powder, with a further milk-flavoured powder dusted over the outside.

Cheese powder and butter oil sit inside the white chocolate itself — an unusual inclusion that gives the dairy a savoury edge rather than a flat sweetness.

Ginbis has made biscuits in Japan since 1930 and is best known abroad for Tabekko Dobutsu.

Plant-derived lactic acid bacteria K-1 are included in the formulation. 30 g to a bag, 177 kcal.
