Mire Biscuit are fragrant, deep-fried biscuits that are slightly larger than a 10 yen coin. They have a little bit firm, crunchy texture and an excellent balance of light saltiness and sweetness. These biscuits have been produced by Nomura in Kochi prefecture since 1955 and are widely known by the people of Kochi as a representative confectionery of the prefecture. But Mire was originally developed by Meiji Seika, and Nomura initially contracted with Meiji to process and sell biscuits.
