Orion Blueberry Cigarette Candy

Blueberry Cigarette is the newest addition to Orion’s Cigarette Series — relaunched with a completely new design in February 2025, making it the most recently refreshed product in the lineup.

Where Cocoa, Cola, and Sour have been running in essentially the same packaging for decades, Blueberry arrives with a distinctly contemporary look: a hamster character named Kayochan on the front, a design that makes no attempt to look like a cigarette packet and doesn’t need to.

The flavor is what Orion describes as “blueberry with a refreshing quality” — a sweet-tart fruit flavor with a faint cooling note that places it closer to the mint-accented Cocoa Cigarette than to the straightforwardly sour profile of the Sour Cigarette.

The blueberry character is sweet and slightly tangy in the way that Japanese blueberry candy tends toward — more aromatic and less acidic than fresh blueberry, with a flavoring that emphasizes the fragrance of the fruit alongside its sweetness.

The cooling element is present but subtle, providing a clean finish without dominating the fruit flavor.

The stick format is the same as across the series: white compressed candy in cigarette stick shape, six per box, firm and made for chewing rather than dissolving.

Same Toyama Prefecture facility as the rest of the lineup. The one that looks the least like its predecessors and tastes the most like summer.
