Eiwa Grape Marshmallow

The grape version of Eiwa’s jelly-center marshmallow follows the same construction as the blueberry — a soft, pillowy marshmallow shell with a fruit jelly pocket inside — but arrives at a noticeably different flavor register.

Where blueberry is tart and slightly earthy, grape is rounder and more immediately sweet, with the distinctive Kyoho-style depth that Japanese grape flavoring tends toward rather than the lighter, more acidic quality of Western grape candy.
