Iwatsuka Nure Okaki Soft Rice Cracker Mitarashi

Nure Okaki are soft rice crackers with a chewy texture similar to mochi rice cakes, and the soy sauce flavored sauce has soaked into the dough. They are released by Iwatsuka, which has its headquarters in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture. The rice used to make these rice crackers is 100% domestically produced. Nure Okaki is not as crunchy as regular okaki, but has a sticky texture like mochi, so some people may like it and others may not. This one is Mitarashi flavor. It has a slightly sweeter taste than regular rice crackers. They are delicious when eaten as it is, but we recommend heat them up a little in the toaster to make them even chewier.
